J&B Supply, Inc. was founded in February of 1968 in Fort Smith, Arkansas by J. L. Jones and Jim Barns, both originally from the Muskogee, Oklahoma area. The original location of J&B Supply was a single building on Midland Blvd. in Fort Smith. From that small beginning, J&B Supply grew steadily, and in a few short years became a full-line plumbing, and heating and air conditioning distributor, serving the entire western Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma area.

In 1978, Mr. Jones started a wholesale electrical store, J&B Electric, in Fort Smith. Also, by that time, Mr. Jones had purchased Mr. Barnes’ interest in the corporation, and Steve Jones joined his father in the business. In 1980, the company purchased Master Supply in Springdale, Arkansas, and Steve Jones moved there to manage that operation.

The company grew dramatically over the next several years. In 1986, a fourth distributorship, Tulsaire Supply, was added to serve the heating and air conditioning market in eastern Oklahoma.

In early 1990, Mr. Jones was asked to open a heating and air conditioning distributorship in Little Rock, Arkansas and J&B Supply, Little Rock, began operations October 17, 1991.

Following his father’s death, in October of 1991, Steve Jones assumed operational leadership of J&B Supply. Under his leadership, J&B Supply opened its new combined supply house, showroom, and administrative offices at 4915 South Zero in Fort Smith, Arkansas in January of 1996, . In May of 2000, J&B opened another supply house in Bentonville, Arkansas, June 2001, in Sherwood, Arkansas, and in March 2007, built a new Little Rock location.

Today J&B Supply, Inc. operates from six supply house locations with approximately 80 dedicated employees, serving thousands of customers in the wholesale plumbing, electrical, and heating and air conditioning business in Arkansas, Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri.
